Installed through Software Manager, running through Main Menu of Mint.

Ok, thank you for letting me know.
I think it should say that in the website. Under Linux Mint one suggestion is to search for musescore on the Mint Software Manager where I installed it.
Workaround (and only supported way for Linux): use the AppImage from https://musescore.org/en/download instead
