Playback issues

I'm trying to write a lead sheet for a music class and the playback button won't work, I have it set on the Jazz lead sheet I'm not sure if that's what is doing it? I need to be able to listen back to this

What is it that you have set on jazz lead sheet?

Is the playback button grayed out?
Select View/Mixer. What do you see?
