That commit and score is from MuseScore 2.0.3. Update to 3.6.2, and check again, 2.x won't receive any fixes anymore
Maybe check 2.3.2 too...
FWIW, I cannot reproduce in 3.6.2, probably this bug was fixed many years ago.
