musescore 3 "not responding" on close of empty score
I bought a new Lenovo laptop yesterday with Windows 10. I downloaded MS 3 today. I installed it and opened it. Empty score, as expected. Closing the window immediately gives
MuseScore3.exe is not responding
This seems fairly basic, so is there a known reason why it doesn't work on my brand new system?
Don't get me wrong; I like MS and I've used MS2 a lot on my previous Win10 laptop and it works very well. Just a bit wary of MS 3 because of the above error.

Thanks, but reboot is a last resort. As for factory settings, they would be already set, as it's a brand new laptop and a brand new download and install of MuseScore?

Why last resort? It is far easier than reverting to factory settings

Thanks for replying.
It was a new install of MS3 on a new computer, so the settings were already set to factory settings.
Also, I was running other work, including a long-running video edit that I did not want to kill.

That might explain MuseScore's problem, those video renderings are quite resource-hungry and MuseScore might have died of starvation (for RAM and/or CPU)
If you can get MuseScore to run, use the options/settings to disable any dialog box at open: especially important disable "the start center"

Thanks. The Start Centre idea sounds promising. I think Start Centre came up next time (and it always does now) and all was fine, so problem has gone. I'll disable it if it happens again.
