Re-installing Musescore
I did have Musescore installed, unfortunately on a drive which crashed and I lost it. Now when I try to install, it goes through the motions then simply states that "account already exists" then undoes the install.
Can someone please help

At no point in the installation does MuseScore require an account.

Perhaps not running the correct installer?
Try downloading from right here on this site: https://musescore.org/en/download
Then reboot your PC and run the installer without launching MuseScore first.

If you continue to have trouble, please tell us what OS you are on, the exact filename of the installer you are running, and the exact text of the messages you receive that indicate a problem.

I am running Windows 10
I am attempting to install from the Musescore website for Windows 64 bit

Sounds good so far, but we need the rest of the info in order to assist. Again, the actual MuseScore installer has no concept of any kind of "account" whatsoever, so that message must be coming from somewhere else. Maybe best to attach a screenshot.

Very stange, never seen anything like this, and it is very unclear what 'account' that dialog might be talking about. Is is a different (Windows) user you're trying to install it as now than it was before?
Can you try to uninstall MuseScore via the Control Panel?

It is a rather uncommon windows installer error message indicating a registry confusion. Try uninstalling MuseScore via the Control Panel first, then reboot and retry the installer.
If that still doesn't work, have a look at the Windows Installer Troubleshooter
