Re: Changing something in the middle of a score

• May 22, 2021 - 02:40

Thank you for replying to my last querry. It doesn't matter what I need to change really, the thing I'm not sure about is if I want to change anything, I might be left with extra spaces or need extra spaces in the middle of the piece, which may or may not fill up a whole bar. I was just using triplets as an example as I had typed in a triplet equalling one crochet not two crochets. I have attached the score, which still needs a bit of work, just in case you need to look at it for some reason. Thank you. Karen

If you enter a note onto beat 1 of bar 53 or whatever, MsueScore guarantees that edits you make earlier in the score will leave that note right there exactly where you entered it, on beat 1 of bar 53 whatever. If you are actually saying you want to mvoe those note earlier, you can certainly do that, too - just use cuy & paste to move as many notes as you like.

In your score, if you tell us what kind of edit you want to make, weŕe happy to show you how to do it.

BTW, in the future, best to simply reply to your already-existing post when continuing the same conversations and only starting new posts when you have new questions. makes the discussion much easier to follow.

Do you mean, you have some number of notes that you originally entered to start on one particular beat of one particular measure, but now you wish to take those notes and move them to start on a different beat or in a different measure? That's simply, just use cut & paste. Again, if you tell us specifically what notes you want to move to a different time position, we can assist better. But it really should be a simple matter of selecting the notes you want to move (e.g., click the first, shift+click the last) then Ctrl+X to cut, then click the new start position, Ctrl+V to paste.
