Octave Jumps when crossing bar lines
I have searched this forum and found this topic covered some time ago without resolve. The reason given was the inability to reproduce the problem. The problem is very much real. Screenshots are attached. In the course of doing a Big Band project for the last two weeks it has happened at lest 70 times. Operating system is Windows 10. Form is "Jazz Lead Sheet". Font is MuseJazz text.

You mentioned an attachment, maybe something went wrong. Better attach the *.mscz file.

Score needed. As far as I can tell those 2 images are not related to one another, one shows a separate note, the other a tied note.

Sorry but I didn't understand. What are the steps?
If I select E3 in measure 45 and change the duration there is no octave jump, I get a tied note

Sorry, I would not consider myself an expert in using this program. At the end of measure 44 I entered an eight note from the keyboard (e). At the beginning of measure 45 I prompted a doted half note using the number keypad and entered (e) on the keyboard. The octave jumped as indicated.
