Melisma line adjustments

• Jun 7, 2021 - 12:43

In the screenshot below (at 400% view), the tie and the melisma line on "praise" should properly only extend to the double-bar. It's easy to adjust the tie (but bothersome to have to do it all the time -- Fix?), but can one do something similar with the melisma?

Also, the gap between the exclaimation point and the start of the melisma is pretty small. I know there's a way to adjust it (globally), but I've forgotten where the setting location is. (I remember doing this once before, and I'm surprised it isn't saved in a Style file.)

Thanx--

Looks lie we get the melisma length right (ending at barline) if the melisma actually ends there, but not if it continues into the next system. Could you submit that to the issue tracker? And no, there isn't a way to override. Ties can be overridden as you have found, but they should end at the barline too, so could you submit a separate issue for that?

As for the gap before start of melisma, that's the "Melisma pad" in Format / Style / Lyrics, and it should be saved as part of the style.
