Main concern is as the image/file shows: adding same-pitch notes (and then making invisible) to a chord/note so that a fingering text upon a multi-voiced situation will be placed more vertically as in single voiced notes. This can be facilitated by using the shortcut script plugin (add an 8th, make invisible, bring down one octave), but depending on whether in 1/2 voice, it can lead to having hidden ledger lines, and this can be difficult to recognize let alone fix.

An alternative issue - instead of keeping this as a duplicate - could be set in motion for a request:
Let fingering-text be given an additional style option such as "single-voiced"/"multi-voiced" placement. If that were introduced, not only would it be a +1 for fingering-text generally, but it would remove the need for the type of workaround as mentioned in the first post. That is, it would be appreciated if even within the context of multi-voicing that the user be given a quick and easy ability to set the fingering placement to be in accord with single-voiced contexts.
