I'm using edge myself sinces quite a while and never had such an issue.
Repetions are very certainly entirely unrelated but due to "Play repeats" in MuseScore being disabled.
I don't see any regression nor any workaround, do you?
Is it possible you are referirng to an issue with the score-sharing website musescore.com, not with the MuseScore notation software itself? Hard to imagine how installing a web browser could have any such effect. Could be completely coincidence. be sure you didn't turn off the repeats button on the toolbar. If you continue to have trouble, please attach your score and precise steps to reproduce the problem.
