Accent Mark on Top of Note

I am trying to add an accent mark on the top of the note, rather than the bottom. When trying to add accents, the default position is under the note, which is unconventional for percussion music (specifically snare drum). I know I can manually move the accent mark to the top of the note, but I honestly don't want to do that every time I need to place an accent, especially when I know it could probably be done automatically.

Can someone help me with this?
