Few questions regarding Musescore's rules

• Aug 9, 2021 - 16:34

Hello!

I apologize if this kind of queston has been already asked and I missed it or if I ask this in a wrong place

My English is not that good, so I couldn't figure out by myself if it's against Musescore's rules to:
1. Put a link in my score's description (or in my profile's description) to external website, where people, who can't afford 'Musescore PRO', could download my score(s) as Pdf files for free?
2. Similar to first one - can I put in score's or profile's description something like: "Message me your email address and I'll send you a Pdf copy of the score"?

Thanks in advance and sorry for my English

These questions really don't belong here to musescore.org but to musescore.com

  1. You'd expose yourself to copyright claims if you do that. If it is entirely your own scores, mark them as "original work" and non-pro users can download the PDFs. Similar if the score is Public Domain, just mark it as such.
  2. You can do that, as far as I can tell.
