Some more of my scores still won't open

• Dec 20, 2021 - 00:45

I know you are tired of hearing me, trust me I'm tired of this too. I don't know. Most of these scores I have spent almost 8 straight months on. I know in the previous thread I sent scores that were corrupted, these are too, but I'm not only wishing for them to be reopened so I can remaster them and fix some things, but I want to figure out the exact problem so I can open my scores back up. Please, I'm tired of asking this same question over and over. I just want my hard work to not be gone.

You appear to have posted a similar problem under two different usernames. Do you expect this to increase your chances of help? Some may help you but, personally, I would discourage this.

Are any of those files from your recovery attempts after you "accidentally" reformatted your drive(s) months ago?
Did you ever try OneDrive?

I've tried opening a couple as .zip files but they appear to be too corrupted. Maybe a zip repair tool would work but I really don't know.

@Jojo...Where did those "titles" of your .mscx files come from? Embedded within the .mscz (zip)?

For instance:
Was 'Who_Let_the_Neon's_In.mscx" extracted from one of the OP's attached .mscz files, but bearing a different name?
So that the unzipped .mscx file has a different name from the zipped .mscz file?

and compare 'Who_Let_the_Neon's_In.mscz". The unzipped file (.mscx) shares the same name with the .mscz file.

Also, your "_Users_HaHa_AppData_Local_MuseScore_MuseScore2_scGQ8588.mscx" title looks like a recovered, then saved, file without the OP having used a "save as" and a subsequent re-name.

The OP's history has indicated problems with a program crash, then with accessing backup files, and then ultimately an "accidental" formatting of the hard drive, "which in turn, deleted EVERYTHING of my Flash drive, including ALL my Musescore scores."

I think the struggle continues.
