Extending a line with SHIFT+RIGHT ARROW should move the score to follow the end of the line

I have recently been adding pedal markings to a long section of a score. It is frustrating that if I select the starting note and click on the line in the pallet and then extend the line using SHIFT+RIGHT, the end of the line often disappears from the screen making it difficult to judge whether the desired pedal release point has been reached. It would be nice if the score could be panned to keep the end of the line in view.

The improvement would be of benefit for all lines - not just pedal markings.
