Write the cuíca instrument on the drum staff.
Hello everyone!
I would love to learn to write this instrument on the drum staff. After a few tries I couldn't find it on MuseScore. Any help or guidance would be most welcome.
I got a small snippet of a file that demonstrates this instrument.
For those who still want to know him, here's a demo link.
This instrument is widely used in Brazil mainly in the Samba genre/rhythm.

Don't know if there's a definitve or tradiotinal way of writing for Cuíca. But seeing music notation in itself is very subjective, why not just find a right way of writing that makes sense for you? How i usually write/notate the Cuíca is to use normal noteheads as the "open" sound, and the crossed noteheads (and/or normal noteheads with the "plus" articulation on top) for the "muted" sound.
