when converting from pdf the clef doesnt copy
I'm trying to convert a viola part from pdf into musescore via their system and it converts all the notes, but it puts it in treble instead of alto. Please help

Post a page of the part. Maybe we can figure something out.
Apply the correct clef from the palette, then transpose to correct the pitches back according to the new clef
The transformation from a graphical to a music format is always problematic and you will need manual corrections even when using commercial programs. Maybe you will get a little bit better results by installing and running Audiveris (which is used also by musescore.com) on your PC, but it always will need some manual work.
