  2. Either keep MuseScore with no file (may crash earlier) or keep MuseScore open with a file open
  3. MuseScore will randomly crash after being open for a couple of days.

I leave MuseScore open for many days on end with no problem, so most likely, the issue is an interaction with some other software installed on your specific system. best to ask for help in the Support forum and provide more details on your OS and what other programs you have running, especially ones that might be trying to use your audio devices.
