The MuseScore website and Tooltips have an old date for what qualifies as Public Domain due to Copyright Expiration. It should be 95 years before the current year. (January 1, 1927 for 2022)

But no, this not about 95 years, not at all. It maybe in the US, in The rest of the world os is 70 or even 50 years after the composer's death, when that happens automatically
And you can place your on stuff into the public domain manually, even if you're still alive.
That one popup seems wrong though, giving a wrong or at least outdated example, but that is a moving target, it'd be a major PITA to have to change that once a year
