playback for voice

I write a lot of music for piano and voice and wanted to ask whether it is possible to change the default playback for voice? It sounds like a male chorus in Musecore 3 and I usually have to change the dynamic mark to "ppp", in order to avoid hearing it above the instrumental line!!

Does anyone else find this to be a problem?
