Creating tremolos
In bar 102, the last two notes are supposed to be half note tremolos. I inserted the quarter notes, selected both notes, and added the tremolo bars. They didn't turn into half note tremolos.
I repeated the process, adding one tremolo at a time. Still no half note tremolos. What am I missing?
Thanks, wizards. <3

Why should those single note quarter tremolos turn on to half notes?
Did you mean a tremolo between notes? if so, just use that instead, see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/tremolo#two_note (and the attached)

Hey, Jojo. Glad to see you! You are always wonderful at sorting out these things. :)
Yes. Tremolo between two half notes.
"Example: To enter a two-note tremolo with the duration of a half note (minim), enter two normal quarter notes (crotchets). After applying a tremolo symbol to the first note, the note values automatically double to half notes."
I did that. I wanted half note tremolos so I inserted quarter notes and applied a tremolo to the first note. It didn't automatically double. So I applied it to the second note too. Still didn't double. Plus a lot of other tinkerings that didn't work either.
How do I make it right? <3

No, you didn't. You applied a "32nd through stem" to both, not a "32nd between notes" to the 1st.

How do I apply 32nd between notes? Something different than clicking on the note and then clicking on the tremolo bar?

In the pallet single note tremolos have a stem through them. Between note tremolos don't. So it is as simple as clicking on the note and then the tremolo, but the trick is to click on the right type of tremolo, one without a stem through it.

Select the 1st note and then in the Tremolo palette click on "32nd between notes", not on "32nd through stem"

And make sure you are using the "Advanced workspace" as the basic one only has single note tremolos.
Aside, I think this distinction between basic and advanced causes more problems for inexperienced users than it solves.

Huh? For me the Basic workspace has no tremolo at all

Oops, yes! Mis-read the Handbook.

You would have thought I could figure that out on my own. I'm using the advanced workspace. Just don't do tremolos often. Thanks again, Steve. :)

Got it! I'm so slow some days. ;)
Thanks again, Jojo. Faithful wizard to the rescue. <3
