Measure numbers with split measures
When I create a split measure in order to put a mid-measure repeat, MuseScore incorrectly counts each split part for 1 measure, thus increasing the measure count by 1. Is it a feature or bug? If it is a feature, it is inconsistent with the fact that the pickup measure is not included in the count. In the uploaded example, the first measure of the last line should be numbered 12 and not 13.

Neihter bug nor feature, just a fact. And one you can change, by ticking that measure's "Exclude from measure count", see https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/measure-operations#irregular
Well, you could argue that it is a bug that the 2nd part of such a split measure doesn't have that set automatically, just like a pickup measure has on score creation.

Sometimes you want split to do this, sometimes you don't - like when using split as a way of truncating a system for cadenzas or nonmetered music. Personally I do the latter all the time, but almost never use split to simply cut a normal measure in two (mid-measure repeats are seldom a thing in my world).
