Custom Templates does not show when creating a new song.
I am using MuseScore 3.3.4.9134 running under Windows 11 Enterprise on a Surface Pro 8. I copied a music score file created by MuseScore into the templates folder listed in the General tab of Preferences, When I start a new score, the template is supposed to show up under Custom Templates but neither Custom Templates nor my template file shows up there. I have tried restarting MuseScore 3 and also rebooting the computer but Custom Templates will not show up.

First of all update to 3.6.2.
3.3.4 is outdated since quite long, but see also #313298: MuseScore in Microsoft Store is outdated, still at 3.3.4; remove link on Download page
Then make sure this is really the template folder MuseScore is using, by checking Edit > Preferences > General > Templates
Make sure you are copying to your templates folder - the one under your own Documents/MuseScore3 folder - as opposed to the program's internal folder. If you needed to give admin permission, you copied to the wrong folder :-).
Beyond that, as I recall, some old versions of MuseScore required you to restart the program before new templates would appear. That and hundreds of other bugs have been fixed since 3.3.4, so indeed, definitely update.
