Can't drag anything from the "More" dropdown in the palette
I click on "more", click and hold on anything in there, it turns blue like it is selected, but the popup closes right away. And there is nothing being dragged.

The "advanced" editor mode (dropdown on the top right) works
The lack of a SHA after the "github-musescore-musescore-" stongly indicates that this is not an official build, not the APpImage from the download page of this website here, and as such not supported here.
This may or may not be relevant in the issue at hand.

Same problem with the appimage.
With the appimage edition I can't open the "about" window. It stays black.
And each time I try to drag and drop something from the palette an unresponsive error pops up when using the appimage, as can be seen in the screenshot.

Bad, so you're between a rock and a hard place.
The palette doesn't require dragging, a simple click should be sufficient to apply any palette item to whatever you have selected in your score.
The black dialog is generally a sign there is an missing library in your installation or your device doesn't support OpenGL properly.

Clicking doesn't work with the items in the "More" dropdown. It only works with the items that are already in the sidebar.
I'm not having the black dialog when installing from the manjaro repo.

It does work for me, MuseScore 3.6.2, Windows 11.

It should work for you too. It isn't anything platform specific. Tried it in the AppImage version?

As you can see in my comment from Jun 23, 2022 - 12:40, yes, I did try the AppImage version

If clicking the elements in the More palette doesn't work either, that's something to report to whomever built the version of MuseScore you are trying to run. Unfortunately we can't really help with third-party builds - there are all sorts of things they could have gotten wrong that would lead to hard-to-diagnose problems.
So, let's focus on getting the support version - the AppImage - to work. As I mentioned, a black screen generally means a misconfiguration of some kind in your graphics system. First step is update your graphics drivers. If you continue to have issues, try using the environment variable QT_OPENGL to either "angle" or "software" to see if that works around the lack of native OpenGL support in your driver.

I just completely reinstalled my system. 1 out of 5 times dragging items from the "More" Dialog doesn't work. Clicking on entries from the "More" Dialog still doesn't do anything.
The about dialog is showing now. Revision: OS: Manjaro Linux, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.6.2.548021370, revision: 3224f34

To be clear: you are talking about the supported AppImage, and when you say clicking the elements from the More section doesn't do anything, you mean, after first selecting something in the score that the element in question can legitimately be added to?
If so, please attached you score and give precise steps to reproduce the problem (eg, tell us what your selecting in the score, and which palette element you are trying to click).

yes

yes
> please attached you score
I just start with the default page. No special score was used.
> tell us what your selecting in the score
The treble clef symbol
> and which palette element you are trying to click
Any other clef symbol from the "more" popup

With what being selected in the score? A measure or a note or rest?
What clef exactly?
Using the Advanced workspace?

I already said "The treble clef symbol"
I'm out. Good luck.
In reply to > With what being selected… by sadlfkjwqler
That's not under the More button
In reply to > With what being selected… by sadlfkjwqler
Oh... Select the measure, not the clef, then click the clef under More
See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/clefs#add
Although selecting the clef should work too.

Hmm, that definitely should work and does for me. What exactly happens for you? Does the panel close when you click but the clef isn't changed, or does the panel stay open? Could be an issue with your mouse driver or OS settings involved in how focus is managed.
Meanwhile, the workaround be to use View / Master Palette.

Same problem here. It should be a Linux-only problem. My environment is Arch Linux. Either "drag and drop" or single click does not work.
