Playback Controls

I have installed the latest update of Musescore on to my PC (Windows 10), I use Musescore a lot, but with this installation, I am unable to use the playback controls.

I have tried changing I/O settings, I have performed factory reset, and I have reinstalled twice, but I can't seem to fix this issue, I have attached an image of the playback controls.
