PLAYBACK PROBLEM
GOOD DAY!
AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS AND INFORMATION IN VARIOUS FORUMS AND MANUALS, I AM HOPING YOU GUYS CANHELP ME. MY MUSESCORE NO LONGER EMITS ANY SOUND - NOR DOES IT PLAY BACK WHAT I HAVE WRITTEN. I.E. NOTHING HAPPENS WHEN I PRESS THE SPACE BAR. THE PLAY BUTTON IS GREYED OUT.
I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING, RE-DOWNLOADED ETC....

Since it used to work and no longer does now there's a good chance some setting got mixed up or some other program is blocking MuseScore's access to the audio devices. See https://musescore.org/en/node/96811 for a listing of several possible causes and their attempted solutions.
First of all fix your broken CapsLock key...

And pretty sure you didn't do step 9 of that howto, not completely

I use Musecore with only headphones connected as well as with my Scarlett 4i4 3rd Gen.
The problem does not change, I have already used other audio interfaces.

nothing works either...
But Bluetooth on my Mac only works very sporadically anyway... But it's a known bug on macs...

Can you get speakers to work?
Disconnect all audio interfaces.
Restart computer.
Open MuseScore.
Make sure speakers are selected in I/O.
If by some chance you have sound, close MuseScore and connect your interfaces and/or head phones.
Always make changes ( plugging in or unplugging headphones ) without MuseScore running.

So speakers don't work in MuseScore. I bet they work for everything else.
Reinstall does nothing 99% of the time. Uninstall mostly gets rid of the UI and not the configurtion settings. You might run a search of you computer and delete anything associated with MuseScore. Except your scores file and any custom fonts you might have. Then restart and reinstall.
And just double checking, you did the PRAM reset and Safe mode restart.

I tried the pram reset another time..now it works..maybe i`ve done something wring the first time!
