Every time I open MS4 in any way it will not open.
I check task manager and it pops up for one second then immediately crashes.
The logo shows for a second, then goes away just as quick.

I've fixed my crashes during the splash screen by switching my audio interface to 41.000Hz instead of 48.000 Hz. Does that work for you?

I had the same issue, and changing my audio output has worked, thank you.
(For certain Razer headsets with USB Sound Card, THX Spatial Audio -> Razer USB Sound Card)
Same issue here. I have a Focusrite Scarlet 18i2 2nd gen audio interface, running Windows 10. Already set sampling rate for playback and recording outputs to 44.100 Hz with no success. Also shut off the audio interface completely with no success.

I just received an email encouraging me to download MuseScore 4.
This crash issue hasn't been resolved and it seems pretty serious to me.
I'm not sure you should be encouraging people to download version 4 with such a serious open issue.
When will a fix be in place?

Yep still happening too. I've just downloaded it for the first time - crashes straight away. This is obviously very very common given the amount of responses in Google. Strange that it's not fixed?
This issue tracker here has been discontinued, report again on GitHub
