Playback error with "Fade In" Articulation

The issue arose when using a Bb trumpet on MuseScore 4:
1) Add the trumpet
2) Place a quarter-note B5 note (i.e. sounding as A5) in the score. (Tempo 140)
In my case it was the last quarter of a 4/4 bar.
3) Add to the note the "fade-in" articulation.
During playback, the note surpasses its written length and seemingly extend throughout the rest of playback. During this time, the volume of the note seems to change according to dynamic for the instument in the score, while other notes for the same instrument (i.e. in the same staff) play as normal (or perhaps more quietly).
After removing the "fade-in", the note played normally.
