Project
1) Open score.
2) Begin playback of music. Playback marker tracks playback point correctly.
3) Open mixer.
4) Change sound of instrument to anything else.
5) Bug occurs. The playback for the Instrument that was changed reverts back to the beginning of the score, the rest of the playback continues at the current point in the score.
This leads to the instruments that have been changed being out of sync with the playback of the rest of the score.
For scores with one instrument, the playback marker continues to track through the score at the point the sound was changed however the actual playback reverts to the beginning of the score.
I was able to repeatedly replicate this across multiple scores in Musescore 4.
Comments
I have encountered the same bug. MacBook Pro 13" M1 2020 running macOS 12.5.
I encountered the same issue immediately, many times
I can reproduce this. The behavior continues after pausing and unpausing, though it is resolved when manually resetting the score position (by clicking on an element in the score).
There are four reporters in this issue, plus four more in linked duplicates for a total of eight reporters.
Note: As reported by #339527: Playhead does not synchronise with sounds after instrument change, this issue also occurs when switching out the instrument entirely, though that requires you to pause and resume before the new instrument plays any sounds, again from the beginning of the piece.
