1 Select a measure in the middle of the piece. (It is the selected one in the screen shot)
2 Go to measure properties and change from 2/2 to 3/2.
=> Note where the newly-added rest is added - you now have a half note rest replacing the first 1/8th note of the next measure.
3 Use Undo to try to fix the change.
-> Note that the rest has been removed but that the first 8th note of that second measure is still missing. (Measure properties report it as a normal length 2/2 measure. There seems no way to fix this measure.
I would call this a Min severity item except I can't seem to be able to fix the measure that is now 7 eighth notes.

Confirmed. Actually any increase in length of any measure seems to create similar corruption. I'm submitting this to GitHub so the developers can consider it for the next update.
Now that it's reported with GitHub (with a fix already in place), I'm closing this as a duplicate
