how to mute voice 1 or voice 2 in same clef
I am using the SATB Closed score. In previous versions of MuseScore I could mute the Soprano voice or Voice 1 or I could mute the Tenor voice in the bass cleff, etc. How do I do this now?
I don't see any option in the mixer? I see an option to mute men or women voices but not individual voices. In the treble cleff Soprano as V1 and Alto as V2 and in the bass cleff Tenor as V1 and Bass as V2.

What, you left space dock without a voice discriminator!
This is a much needed functionallity for me. I make mp3s for my choir with the voices muted so they can practice together or hear the different voices. I guess I'll be going back to 3.6.2. until some later release.

It sure wasn't me dropping this... I do rely very much on that feature too, so won't (be able to) go to 4.x any time soon with my scores

The ugly workaround is to add additional staves for Alto/Basses and explode your condensed score onto them for the benefit of creating your mp3s.
But staying on 3.6.2 for this type of task sounds as less effort :-)

Unfortunately this is not only a problem during generation of .mp3.
It also makes Musescore 4 unusable for realtime sound generation when practicing a single voice in multi-voice music by starting with only the relevant voice in the relevant part enabled and then gradualy enabling first the other voice(s) in the part in question and then gradually the other parts. Please get this functionality back as soon as possible!

Suggested implementation:
I suggest that instead of reintroducing the Musescore 3 concept of muting each voice:
In the Mixer:
Show a standard level control for (each voice in use in each part) instead of (as now) for each part.
Name the controls as [part][voice]. For instance "Soprano1" and "Soprano2"
For a typical SATB sheat with 4 parts, each containing 2 voices, the number of volume controls will thus increase from 6 to 10. But the functionality will get a tremendous boost seen from the end user - and be much more orthoginal seen from the programmer or system designer, because you get rid of the ugly "mute" buttons for each voice in each part and only need to increase the number of volume vontrols.

For SATB closed score...
You can mute voices by selecting them and unticking 'Play' in the Properties panel for the voices you do not wish to hear.

So here we are MuseScore 4.3.1 and still no way to mute V1 or V2 in the same clef. Any progress in this direction?

FWIW... There is still this way...
For example:
To mute V2, use the selection filter to select voice 2 and untick 'Play' in the Properties panel. Only V1 will then play.

The above method works. Maybe not quite as fast as a mute button, but much faster than exploding staves.

Exploding the parts and muting whole staves works just fine.
