Tempo

Is there a way to add a whole note = 116 tempo in musescore 4? I've looked in the tempo palette but it doesn't seem to be there.

  1. Add a tempo marking with a half or a quarter note.
  2. Double click it into Edit Text mode and place your cursor just after the note symbol
  3. From the Properties Panel click on "Insert special characters"
  4. Click on the whole note from the "Common Symbols" tab, it should be pretty much in the middle of the first row
  5. Close the special characters dialog and delete the original half/quarter note that was there
  6. Click outside the marking to exit editing it.

(7.) Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+drag that marking back into your palette for future reuse.
