Project
Muse should use correct typographers quotation marks in text
- Create a title or other piece of text
- Type a single or double quotation
- What appears are feet and inches marks rather than 'smart' or typographer's quotation marks
This spoils the engraving in Muse and is typographically incorrect
See https://practicaltypography.com/straight-and-curly-quotes.html
The workaround is to use keyboard shortcuts:
Character | Windows | Mac |
---|---|---|
‘ opening single quote | alt 0145 | option + ] |
’ closing single quote | alt 0146 | option + shift + ] |
“ opening double quote | alt 0147 | option + [ |
” closing double quote | alt 0148 | option + shift + [ |
