Pasting lyrics from text file doesn't appear to work in Musescore 4

Copy lyric text from a text file.

Click on a note; hit cmd-L (to enter lyrics); paste; paste again.

Expected behaviour: The syllable pastes, and then the cursor moves to the next note. Pasting again pastes the following syllable and so on and so forth.

Unexpexted behaviour: first syllable pastes again and again onto the same note.

This worked fine in Musescore 3 and I depend on it in my workflow. It shouldn't be too complicated to fix although perhaps not trivial... I'm on Mac. Haven't tested on PC.

I checked in the latest handbook and this is still documented as being possible. Quote from page 156:

Paste lyrics from clipboard
To copy and paste lyrics from a text file (say) into a score:
1. Enter the notes in the score to which the lyrics will be attached.
2. Set up your lyrics in a text file, with appropriate spaces, hyphens, line-breaks etc.
3. Copy the lyrics from the text-file into the clipboard.
4. SelectthestartnoteinMuseScore,andpressCtrl+L(Mac:Cmd+L)(step3underEnterlyricsinascore).
5. Repeatedly applying paste will enter successive words of the lyrics. You may need to enter melismas and make
other corrections as you go along.

Thanks Jojo. I searched before posting. I wish I hadn't bothered you with this. I've done some more searching and found this:

Can anyone suggest how long it will take to be released? I tried downloading a nightly but the problem is still there.
