  1. Load attached MuseScore file "Saturday_in_the_Park_unrolled.mscz".
  2. Problem occurs during playback of all parts, and occurs in measure 50.
  3. The dotted half notes in the lead vocal part get louder in sterps during the measure and then continue to ring into subsequent measures. The notes do not terminate on beat 4 as they should.
  4. The problem does not occur when the part is soloed, either by selecting the staff before playback or soloing the part via the mixer.
5, I have updated to the latest version 4.0.1.230121751
  5. This score was developed in Version 3 and I have done only minimal formatting edits to the parts after importing to version 4. I do not know if the issue occurred on initial import, as I did these edits before trying playback.

Title Vocal notes don't cut off. Vocal notes don't cut off. - more info from testing

Did a little testing. Seems the issue has to do with the same notes being sung in another part.
The "Lead Vocal" and the "Background Vocals" part have common notes and both use the "Voice" sound for playback.
They have different rhythms and words though.
The problem is on "Background Vocals" part alone. The repeated notes do not terminate.
This would explain why the part gets louder throughout the measure as the same notes are repeated.
If I mute the "Background Vocals" via the mixer, the problem goes away.
If I solo the "Background Vocals" via the mixer, the problem IS THERE.
