Ctrl+M to enter marker does not work.
I tried to reassign it but the key combination is not recognized in the text field of the shortcut assignment utility.
I replaced with Ctrl+Shift+M which works.

What keyboard layout are you using, and is it possible that somehow your system has reserved this for something else? Works fine for me on Linux (Debian).

Well done the artist! I'm using latin 9 in bodhi-linux, an ubuntu variant based on E17. This is because the combination is required by E17 as shortcuts for maximizing windows. I had also asked myself the question after having noticed the same problem in MS 3.6. I got around by assigning another shortcut in MS 4.01
