Of a score, to be worked between versions

For example there is/are score(s) to be working on, but while I have opened and worked on it in Musescore 4, recently looking it's very particular performances of it by my computer, got me thinking to go back and re-open it in Musescore 3. Will that work? I'm yet to finish said score(s) before listening it by the Musesound on Musescore 4.
