Keep 3.6.2 and download MU4. They will be able to coexist without conflict.
Be careful: a file saved with MU4 will not be opened by 3X. You will, however, eventually be able to expoirt it as Musicxml

I would suggest not opening any MS3 files directly from the MS3 scores folder. Copy them to the MS4 scores folder first.
