Italics in text not working?
I tried to change a dymanic marking (ff) to italics (MacOS) by selecting the text and pressing Command+I as the handbook shows, and nothing happened. Is this a bug or am I missing something? Thanks in advance.

Just don't italicise dynamics. They are (sort of) italic already
Other than that: the Cmd+i shortcut not working in text edit mode is a known issue. Or was, not sure, can't reproduce it on Windows 11 and with a 4.0.2 pre-release

Thank you for your reply. I'm glad it wasn't me making a stupid mistake. All fixed now.
Currently those shortcuts aren't working on many systems (a known issue already reported), but you can use the Properties panel instead.
BTW, note that normal dynamics aren't italic; they use a special script that looks italic but isn't. To entethose characters directly, type Cmd+Shift+f (similar for the other characters).
