Note input
Lately I've been noticing with Musescore that it won't respond to my MIDI unless I manually enter a note first (This has proven to be really irritating over time..). MIDI will also be unresponsive at random times whilst composing... Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this problem?

The first symptom is an indication that your device is not sending note off messages but only note on.
The second probably indicates your device going into some sort of auto-shutoff.
