Cannot download the latest version
I downloaded MuseScore today, April 5, 2023, and it did not download the latest version. I also do not see an option to download the latest version.

What operating system? Where did you try to download it from?
I used the standard Download page https://musescore.org/en/download, and indeed I got a hefty warning from Malwarebytes:

You can choose "CONTINUE TO SITE", and your download should continue normally. But the MuseScore management really should sort this out in discussion with Malwarebytes.

As long as Muse Hub a) contains a BitTorrent server and starts that without asking for permission and b) insists on running with admit priviledges, I think Malwarebytes has a valid point...
