Tutor for dummy
I am totally new to this, I can play the keyboards a bit and have implemented the I/O and it takes the keyboard input but when I play something into it, it keeps repeating when I use the sustain pedal (I mean it keeps adding more notes that I didn't play). Is there some trick to make it input exactly what I am playing?

BTW, I had tried the video tutorials but am getting 'video not available' on all the tutorials.

Those are outdated anyway
It will probably never input exactly what you are playing. But it should get close.
I would suggest not using the pedal during note input. Add those markings later.
