Notes creates "echos"
When I enter notes into the product, they playback with an echo and multiple sounds...for example, the C note sounds like a "C-C-C-C"...echos. Same with playback. I looked at all options but to no avail. This does not happen with products like Finale.

In MuseScore, go to Edit>Preferences>(I/O), and change the Buffer from 1024 to 4096.
There is a list of other things to try is that doesn't help.
Probably some other program is listening to the MIDI output from MuseScore and feeding it back. Check Edit / Preferences / I/O and make sure both MIDI input and output are disabled, also check to see if you are running any other programs that might be contributing to such a MIDI loop.
