Musescore 4.0.2 doesn't give warnings about permissions on Linux

I am using Manjaro and Ubuntu Linux.
I have saved / exported some files from MuseScore 4.0.2 appimage in folders I didn't have the permission to write.
MuseScore didn't give me any warning and acted as the files were saved. I discovered only later that the files weren't there, I suppose the reason is I didn't have the permissions to write into those folders. This is a major problem, as I have lost parts of my work.
