Every time I try to write any score it never plays back correctly

Whenever I try to write anything it makes the score super high pitched and incorrect. The notes I write are all correctly intervaled to each other still, however, it still plays super high pitched and wrong pitches. When I say high I mean super high too. Like playing octave in the 4th octave will still produce like octave 7+ notes that are insufferable. It ruins the effort to write anything. I have tried everything to fix it.
