Musescore 4 cannot set different dynamics for different parts of piano

• Jun 21, 2023 - 05:17

As the photo demonstrated, I want to set my right hand playing p while my left hand playing f, but Musescore always plays the dynamics of both hands the same.
In Musescore 3 I can fix this by adjusting the dynamic range, while Musescore 4 does not support it, the feature is gone.
I wonder if there is any fix for the problem.

It is known that MuS 4 cannot do this - at least not yet.
As a solution one can use two pianos, one with treble clef, one with bass clef.
The main difference: the staff name appears twice, but this can also be solved by changing the text at the short and long instrument names.

You can use the Properties panel to set the velocity of the notes as you like. Not currently supported for Msue Sounds, but of course that wasn't an option in MU3 anyhow. Better - MUCH better - controls are coming in a future update.
