Sheet Music help? Unable to transcribe measure correctly
I'm very inexperienced at this, but I'm transcribing sheet music to use in a midi player for a game. I enjoy it, but I'm coming up against some obstacles. This measure calls for one half note, and then 7 8th notes. I just do not understand it at all. Attached is a screenshot of my issue. On the top is my efforts in MuseScore. On the bottom is the official sheet music.
I see they have added an eighth rest to the half note, so I tried doing that. If you look on the third measure (for the top image) you can see exactly what that causes. I don't get it, and I'm sure this won't be my only hurdle, but this is really doing my head in.
Side note, is this the right place to post this? Is there maybe a discord or something I can get in on for real time help? My questions may be absolutely stupid to music pros, but anything would help.

Thank you! Once I figured out voices, a whole new understanding opened up to me about so many transcription errors I've had. This changes everything
