How do I add/fix my Grand Staff's

• Sep 6, 2023 - 23:21

So I don't know if I did something wrong but I tried adding a Grand Staff which I believe has worked but then again I've come across this issue which I do not know if it is on purpose or what.
When I try to add a break it selects the entire row rather than just one of the Grand Staff.

And even more so when I play my score it plays every note on the measure and below it rather than that one second so it sounds rather funky.

I'm new to Musescore and creating sheets so I'd like some tips.

This is for v4 too.

You have two grand staffs there. I guess you only want one grand staff. I suggest you should read this https://musescore.org/en/handbook/4/setting-your-score

By default you will start with 32 measures - you can specify a different number in the new score wizard. The empty measures will wrap onto successive lines (called systems in Musescore). Where that wrap happens will be adjusted by Musescore as you fill the measures with notes. A system can contain one, two or several staves of one or more instruments. They all play at the same time but each system plays in turn.

So if you want two lines of music (two systems) each consisting of the two staves of the grand staff to play one after the other, just add one instrument and add sufficient music to fill two lines (systems).

You only want one grand staff, but more systems. Or actually, you want more measures which will flow down on a new system for the same grand staff.
