I know the answers to all questions are go-read-the-manual.
But having so much enthusiasm I can't wait!!
Thanks to those of you who have answered previous questions!!

  1. Is there a shortcut to change a quarter note to an eight note?
  2. Is there a way to toggle the stem (e.g. down to up)
  3. You know how one can select a bar and hit enter to move music to the next line ...
What is the shortcut to do opposite? (Move music to the current line.)
  4. Is there a file I can edit so every time I create a new score it uses Acoustic Guitar?
  5. Is there video that will get me started where I create a chord with some notes as half notes and others as eights?
6.Is it possible to validate that all (or all in a selection) measures in a score match the time signature?
  6. Is it my imagination? Or does the playback for 'Acoustic Guitar' sound like a piano? I wonder if there's a deployment error in MuseScore 4.

You can get some short answers, but the manual is really the best place to go.

  1. Select the note and press '4'
  2. Select the note and press 'x'
  3. Delete the system break, but if the staff is full, nothing will change
  4. Create your own template with the guitar and choose 'custom templates' when starting a new score
  5. A video? Surely somewhere, but I do not know. For chords with different note durations use additionally voices 2, 3 and 4
  6. Choose acoustic guitar as instrument and you will get the sound of an acoustic guitar. Just changing the names doesn't help.

I've given some keywords you can use to search in the manual.

Welcome aboard...
Also, regarding meter -- it is found both in music and in poetry:

There was a composer named Brit
Whose songs into measures won't fit.
And when they asked why,
He said: "I do try!
But when I get to the last bar, I seem to use too many notes to fill it."
