Incorrect Playback Speed and Rhythms

• Nov 15, 2023 - 02:04

For some reason musescore keeps playing the wrong rhythms for my piece. Everything sounded fine a few days ago, but now some parts will play faster/slower than others at certain sections and some parts do a completely different rhythm than what I have notated. I've looked through and adjusted literally everything I could think of and restarted my computer multiple times to no avail. Does anyone know how to fix this?? I've added the score but I don't think it'll make a difference because I'm sure it's just my computer, but please let me know if something can be done.

My computer has 8gb of memory and plenty left in storage. I hadn't downloaded anything and no changes or updates to my computer or its specs had been done. My computer has always had what it needed to run the app, as it's been working perfectly fine for a year. It's only now that it has started to work wrong and there has been no change to my computer.

Mine is from 2016. Do you think that if I increased the amount of ram it would work? It has worked fine up until now. I was able to fix the audio in mp3 export but changing the sample rate, but changing the sample rate for my computer didn't fix the problem in musescore.

I wish I could be more help. I wish I could say that more ram would be a sure thing. It is interesting that everything seemed to be OK earlier, but not now. There have been several reports of this kind of thing, lately. I'll see what else I can find.

I have the same issue. It was fine just a few hours ago for me. Now the strings are way ahead of time and some rhythmic figures are rushed.
I noticed that when I use the old sounds it plays it correctly. But the old sounds don't allow for a good preview otherwise.

Thanks for that! I was able to fix the playback for audio but what I really need fixed is the playback in musescore, not so much the exported playback. I tried changing the sample rate of my computer but that did nothing to solve the problem. Do you know if there's a way to fix it in the actual score, and not just the exported audio?
