measures and lines

I have one final page with one line on it. How can I manipulate measure size to bring that final line back onto page four. A Page 5 with one line is not desirable here. When I go to "edit measure" and try to shrink measures, other measures on the line expand to compensate.

A work around would be to bump measures to subsequent lines to result in making page 5 a full page. I don't see any way to do that either though.

There are several possibilities.

  • firstly: delete all system breaks, if there are any
  • select all and use "Format / Stretch / Decreas layout stretch"
  • reduce the page margins (Format / Page settings)
  • reduce the scaling slightly (Format / Page settings)
  • change the system distance and/or "Music top/bottom margin" under "Format / Score / Page"
  • Reduce the height of the title block

And perhaps even more ...
This is from MuS 3.6.2, but you should find almost all of these settings in MuS 4 too.
